A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Elvis Thomas hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Pedro Guilherme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Guilherme in the 11th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Pedro Guilherme who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Recife in the 16th minute of play forced Botinho FC's goalkeeper Hílton Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Odoy Pradhana managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Botinho FC's Dorival Vinhas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dadá Falcão during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Botinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Dadá Falcão. In the 22nd minute Elvis Thomas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute Internacional were awarded a corner. Pedro Guilherme went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Internacional's Osmar Branco to fire away a dangerous shot which Hílton Magalhães despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dorival Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odoy Pradhana having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Pedro Guilherme notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães. Hílton Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute of the match, Dorival Vinhas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Odoy Pradhana saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hílton Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Guilherme, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Marco Recife advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-3 in the 34th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedro Guilherme made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Pedro Guilherme got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hílton Magalhães was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Internacional's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pedro Guilherme in the 52nd minute. Internacional were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Botinho FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Guilherme took the corner. Internacional's Pedro Guilherme was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hílton Magalhães in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Botinho FC's Hílton Magalhães got control of the ball when Elvis Thomas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Internacional were awarded a corner. Pedro Guilherme went to the cornerflag to take it. Odoy Pradhana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorival Vinhas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Botinho FC booed when Internacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Elder Sarmento came free, but Odoy Pradhana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Guilherme's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Hílton Magalhães firmly grabbed it by the left post. 69 minutes into the match, Botinho FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Guilherme came free, but Hílton Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Recife was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Elvis Thomass short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Hílton Magalhães to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 77 minutes, Cássio Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cássio Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Guilherme got free with Hílton Magalhães in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hílton Magalhães was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Marco Recife capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marco Recife really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Pedro Guilherme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hílton Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Internacional's Elvis Thomas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hílton Magalhães. Hílton Magalhães yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Internacional had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
