The corner led Templars FC's Osvaldo Alvarenga to fire away a dangerous shot which Petre Gherghescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Templars FC's André Courtois played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Pedro in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Staffan Apelqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Templars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Staffan Apelqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Gherghescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnoldo Pedro got free with André Courtois in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stanislaw Koczara to make the kick off. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind KS Zryw Rybitwy's goalkeeper Petre Gherghescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. KS Zryw Rybitwy's Petre Gherghescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save KS Zryw Rybitwy from getting a goal against them. In the 84th minute Edward Niedzwiecki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petre Gherghescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Sammut, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Jonathan Sammut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Gherghescu having to interfere.
