Flavius Iriza took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Godo Gøl. Godo Gøl dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juliusz Zieba in the 17th minute of play. Godo Gøl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihnea Tincu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosimo Staniscia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Mugur Suşu made a huge save. Ray Büeler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 25 minutes of play, FC GURZUN's Juliusz Zieba made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godo Gøl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Juliusz Zieba kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Godo Gøl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niculae Siteavu in the 35th minute of the match. With 35 minutes on the clock, Gregor Wirth commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 36 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Gregor Wirth. After 37 played minutes, FC GURZUN's Iustinian Găină shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Godo Gøl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC GURZUN reached it. Cosimo Staniscia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mugur Suşu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, FC Lugano's Mugur Suşu threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cosimo Staniscia, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nepomuk Schyder kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Lugano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 46th minute. Penalty! Iustinian Găină shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cosimo Staniscia made a kick off. FC Lugano's Godo Gøl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Lugano from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mugur Suşu saved FC GURZUN from getting behind. 62 minutes into the match, FC GURZUN's goal looked a bit too open when Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon came free, but Mugur Suşu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Lugano made a substitution. Jerome Achen replaced Piedro Marois. In the 68th minute, Alexandru Ghionea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon in the 77th minute of play forced FC GURZUN's goalkeeper Mugur Suşu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute, Khachonkiat Pornsaptaveekoon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Lugano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. FC Lugano made a substitution. Elroy Zufferey replaced Ray Büeler. In the 82nd match minute, FC GURZUN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandru Ghionea to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavius Iriza got free with Godo Gøl in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute Nae Hurmuzache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godo Gøl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Godo Gøl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niculae Siteavu in the 90th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Testa to maneuver through the defense. Godo Gøl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niculae Siteavu, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 96th minute of the match FC Lugano got a corner. FC GURZUN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jirko Bur ran over to the corner to take the kick. The FC Lugano fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC GURZUN were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
