Søren Valen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Rinaldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vegard Bruvoll in the 6th minute of play forced Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Oslo City FC's Søren Valen got control of the ball when Davide Rinaldi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elof Gustafsson took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fortunato Sangermano. Fortunato Sangermano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Fortunato Sangermano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Engelund in the 25th minute of the match. After 26 minutes Herta Budino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joachim Engelund who took care of the corner kick. In the 28th minute Oslo City FC were awarded a corner. Joachim Engelund went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 30th minute of play forced Oslo City FC's goalkeeper Søren Valen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davide Rinaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Søren Valen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davide Rinaldi ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 35th minute Vegard Bruvoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Sangermano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Davide Rinaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Søren Valen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davide Rinaldi ran back to his position shaking his head. Søren Valen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Rinaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Søren Valen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Davide Rinaldi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. Søren Valen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Davide Rinaldi in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geir-Inge Skulstad to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Davide Rinaldi notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Oslo City FC's Søren Valen. Søren Valen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davide Rinaldi in the 56th minute of play forced Oslo City FC's goalkeeper Søren Valen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th minute of the match, Geir-Inge Skulstad tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fortunato Sangermano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Søren Valen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Davide Rinaldi's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Davide Rinaldi put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Søren Valen. The supporters of Herta Budino booed when Oslo City FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elof Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Davide Rinaldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute Davide Rinaldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Søren Valen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Søren Valen came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Herta Budino's Davide Rinaldi. But to his dismay, Davide Rinaldi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Fortunato Sangermano came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Oslo City FC's Fu Lin. But to his dismay, Fu Lin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. In the 90th minute, Davide Rinaldi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Herta Budino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. 93 minutes into the match, Herta Budino's goalkeeper Fortunato Sangermano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fu Lin. For all the effort they put into the match, the Oslo City FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Herta Budino.
