Balder Egtman ran back to his position shaking his head. When Sigvart Deichmann fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pheonix FC's protests and gave Sigvart Deichmann a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pheonix FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! 13 minutes into the match, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goal looked a bit too open when Nils Taffenberg came free, but Valer Onișoru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moise Ţurlău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gigi Bobei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Pheonix FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Taffenberg to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pheonix FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! Nistor Vermeşan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moritz Holmaa having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, Pheonix FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moritz Sørvin to maneuver through the defense. Moritz Holmaa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigi Bobei in the 36th minute. Moritz Sørvin charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moritz Sørvin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 42 played minutes Pheonix FC got a freekick which was hit by Moritz Sørvin.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nils Taffenberg was the one to do the kick off. Moise Ţurlău sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 57 in the game by Balder Egtman from a close distance when the talented Valer Onișoru managed to make a qualified save. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Pheonix FC's zone, Nistor Vermeşan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moritz Holmaa came out of the goal and Nistor Vermeşan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute Maurits Weinhardt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Nistor Vermeşan got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pheonix FC's Nils Taffenberg got a free kick in the 86th minute. Nistor Vermeşan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Moritz Holmaa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balder Egtman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Onișoru having to interfere. Nils Taffenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Moritz Holmaa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Moise Ţurlău went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Moritz Holmaa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moise Ţurlău, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pheonix FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
