In the 17th minute SvE United were awarded a corner. Jonny Kleen went to the cornerflag to take it. 18 minutes into the match, Variante Delta's goal looked a bit too open when Jonny Kleen came free, but Eraldo Guzman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Caio Hornilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The SvE United fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when SvE United's Jonny Kleen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half SvE United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Variante Delta made a substitution. Ladislao Erramu replaced Caio Hornilla. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ladislao Erramu to make the kick off. Jonny Kleen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Eraldo Guzman made a huge save.
