Marcelo Galvão was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Eugenio Ourente capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eugenio Ourente really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Marcelo Galvão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simos Manousopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Serdar Ulualp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho de Salles in the 13th minute of the match. Leonardo Varela scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serdar Ulualp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd match minute, Itajaí Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Severo to maneuver through the defense. Itajaí Football Club's Raí Rossi pulled a muscle in his leg after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Rıfkı Sefir fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nusaybin GençLikSpor's protests and gave Rıfkı Sefir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Nusaybin GençLikSpor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rıfkı Sefir to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho de Salles in the 42nd minute of play forced Nusaybin GençLikSpor's goalkeeper Serdar Ulualp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serdar Ulualp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho de Salles in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Itajaí Football Club's Marcelo Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Ourente in the 59th minute of play. After 62 played minutes Nusaybin GençLikSpor got a freekick which was hit by Onurhan Heybetli. The supporters of Nusaybin GençLikSpor booed when Itajaí Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute Eugenio Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serdar Ulualp was a little too slow when Marcelinho de Salles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 1-2. In the 87th minute, Rick McEachan made a precise shot to the right of Marcelo Galvão. Itajaí Football Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Leonardo Varela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serdar Ulualp having to make a save. In the 94th minute Rick McEachan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Onurhan Heybetli hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
