David Negrițoiu started the match with the kick off. James Novak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Negrițoiu in the 3rd minute of play. Axel Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wieslaw Marud, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. With an all-out effort, FC Carlsberg's Axel Östlund threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wieslaw Marud, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Viorel Neicu came free with the goalkeeper in the 13th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Axel Östlund could save by the left post. Henning Nyman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. James Novak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Wieslaw Marud had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Axel Östlund. Fresta BK Väsby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wieslaw Marud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Inge Clementsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, Jens-Åke Månsson threw the ball into play from the sideline. FC Carlsberg's Remus Costeiantu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Wieslaw Maruds short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Axel Östlund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. James Novak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Negrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. José Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fresta BK Väsby's zone, Viorel Neicu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Axel Östlund came out of the goal and Viorel Neicu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fresta BK Väsby's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Aurelian Mirciu scored to the left of an out of position Axel Östlund, making the score, 3-0. Fresta BK Väsby's Joakim Asserlind got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Fresta BK Väsby booed when FC Carlsberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Costeiantu didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Fresta BK Väsby made a substitution. Åke Mårtensson replaced Jens-Åke Månsson. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wieslaw Marud stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Wieslaw Marud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led FC Carlsberg's Gavril Sichitiu to fire away a dangerous shot which Axel Östlund despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Carlsberg's Denis Aurelianu got a free kick in the 56th minute. Henning Nyman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but James Novak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After 60 minutes FC Carlsberg's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jens Blomqvist who took care of the corner kick. Fresta BK Väsby's Axel Östlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wieslaw Marud in the 63rd minute of play. FC Carlsberg made a substitution. Åke Mårtensson hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Lothaire Matthäus was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 87th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Adrían Addi made a precise shot to the right of Axel Östlund. Fresta BK Väsby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. FC Carlsberg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fresta BK Väsby for a fine match.
