Marquinhos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Alvaro Rudolfo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquez Padolles in the 9th minute of play forced PREZULO FC's goalkeeper Jarbas Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquinhos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Alvaro Rudolfo made a huge save. Marquinhos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jarbas Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquez Padolles in the 14th minute of the match. Daniel Garcia made in the 18th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fausto Romero however managed to control. In the 32nd minute Marquinhos Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Rudolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Coritiba Foot Ball Club got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Montenegro. Alvaro Rudolfo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marquinhos Santos's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Jarbas Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the game, Marquinhos Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Alvaro Rudolfo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marquinhos Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. Alvaro Rudolfo came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by PREZULO FC's Marquinhos Santos. But to his dismay, Marquinhos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Alvaro Rudolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquinhos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Coritiba Foot Ball Club defense, Marquinhos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alvaro Rudolfo. The Coritiba Foot Ball Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alvaro Rudolfo should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marquinhos Santos in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvaro Rudolfo saved Coritiba Foot Ball Club from getting behind. PREZULO FC's Jarbas Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquez Padolles in the 72nd minute of play. PREZULO FC's Isaac Ferreira was substituted for Santiago Eriksen. Toninho Gomes made in the 77th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marquez Padolles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaac Ferreira in the 85th minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Santos in the 86th minute of play. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coritiba Foot Ball Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alvaro Rudolfo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
