The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sebastian Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Reyes in the 7th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Edgard Reyes sped through Degerfors IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sebastian Sandberg. Kristian Brodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Sebastiano Treviño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Degerfors IF's Sebastian Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Vilanova in the 15th minute of play. Kristian Brodin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastiano Treviño having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Reyes got free with Sebastian Sandberg in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Degerfors IF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edgard Reyes was slow to take the kick. During this time Picanya FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Picanya FC's goalkeeper Sebastiano Treviño, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ander Astudillo got free with Sebastian Sandberg in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Per Åberg hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, Isidoro Gene got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgard Reyes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Sebastian Sandberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Edgard Reyes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baiardo Candamil's late challenge caught a Degerfors IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baiardo Candamil helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Picanya FC's Baiardo Candamil got a free kick in the 57th minute. Kristian Brodin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sebastiano Treviño tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's Leonard Christoffersson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastiano Treviño narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute Edgard Reyes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Sandberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastiano Treviño took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Åberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Sandberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Vilanova in the 68th minute of the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Kristian Brodin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Picanya FC's Sebastiano Treviño was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute, Kristian Brodin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Degerfors IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Picanya FC's Sebastiano Treviño proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Picanya FC from getting a goal against them. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
