The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3rd play minutes Haroldo Napier shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Fausto Ferraz and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Samuca Figueiredo hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Seed Town West's Haroldo Napier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fausto Ferraz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fausto Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Haroldo Napier went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 23 minutes in the game Samuca Figueiredo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to João Batista. Haroldo Napier took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Ferraz. Fausto Ferraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Fausto Ferraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Napier in the 31st minute of play. Leopoldo Sanches came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Einar Klysnov could save by the left post. Fausto Ferraz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mai Quan Peng went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Fausto Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Napier, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Fausto Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mai Quan Peng in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Fausto Ferraz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd minute of the match Seed Town West got a corner. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aytaç Sözen ran over to the corner to take the kick. Haroldo Napier was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. When Carlos Alberto Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's protests and gave Carlos Alberto Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Magalhães to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mai Quan Peng was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Haroldo Napier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fausto Ferraz. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Napier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Fausto Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Napier in the 57th minute of play. After 60 minutes, Sofus Sorvad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seed Town West and the S.E.R. Caxias do Sul players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 played minutes Seed Town West got a freekick which was hit by Sofus Sorvad. In the 61st minute, Carlos Alberto Magalhães sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Seed Town West's Einar Klysnov didn't even have to move. Seed Town West's Haroldo Napier was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 68th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. If Mai Quan Peng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Seed Town West's Gregers Kumler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fausto Ferraz. That made the score 0-7 after 74 minutes of play. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Seed Town West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mai Quan Peng didn't get a good kick on the ball. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Fausto Ferraz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save S.E.R. Caxias do Sul from getting a goal against them. Mai Quan Peng received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fausto Ferraz came out and tried to block the shot, but Mai Quan Peng slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 82nd minute. Seed Town West made a substitution. Lennart Jungschlager replaced Fillip Sivananda. Fausto Ferraz was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Mai Quan Peng capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mai Quan Peng really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. Seed Town West's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
