Edmundo de Lima was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leon Brudnicki showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Sagarana Clube's Edmundo de Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Sagarana Clube from getting a goal against them. After 35 minutes, Czeslaw Jarek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goral Zywiec and the Sagarana Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar Leite in the 41st minute of play forced Goral Zywiec's goalkeeper Leszek Pruss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Miroslaw Joks in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Leon Brudnicki put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edmundo de Lima. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederico Costa got free with Leszek Pruss in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdemar Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sagarana Clube's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
