The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo Dantel in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Rezende saved Vasco FC from getting behind. 24 minutes in the game Luan Alves did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Durvalino Dracena. Durvalino Dracena hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Jairo Dantel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Rezende was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Jairo Dantel might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Rezende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jairo Dantel ran back to his position shaking his head. Leopoldo Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Dantel in the 31st minute of the match. After 33 played minutes A.C ALDO BONZI got a freekick which was hit by Felix Juvenal. In the 34th minute Raphael de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Goito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco FC's zone, Jairo Dantel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Rezende came out of the goal and Jairo Dantel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 43 minutes on the clock, Jacobo Nicholas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 44th minute, Jacobo Nicholas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Goito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Velloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raphael de Medeiros made a kick off. In the 54thth minute of the game Jairo Dantel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vasco FC's Leopoldo Rezende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raphael de Medeiros who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Elias Goito when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some careless play in the A.C ALDO BONZI defense, Denílson Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Goito. The A.C ALDO BONZI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Goito should have stopped the shot. César de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Elias Goito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70th play minutes Jairo Dantel shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Leopoldo Rezende and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Raphael de Medeiros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elias Goito. That made the score 2-2 in the 73 minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, A.C ALDO BONZI's goalkeeper Elias Goito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César de Godoi. Eriberto Menendo's late challenge caught a Vasco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eriberto Menendo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, Eriberto Menendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Raphael de Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Denílson Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denílson Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leopoldo Rezende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 94 minutes into the match, A.C ALDO BONZI's goal looked a bit too open when Adalberto de Souza came free, but Elias Goito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, A.C ALDO BONZI could leave the field as winners, despite Vasco FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
