Granicerul's Grigore Rânceanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Dossena in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Granicerul's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Motta came free, but Grigore Rânceanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Ernesto Delle Donne put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Grigore Rânceanu. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Granicerul's goalkeeper Grigore Rânceanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emilio Dossena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A.S. Udinese made a substitution. Silvio Che replaced Fortunato Leggeri. After a rather tough play, Granicerul's Iordache Ioneasa got a free kick in the 58th minute. Corrado Pietropaolo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Grigore Rânceanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After 59 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Victor Popilean. Remigiusz Sowa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Grigore Rânceanu. Granicerul's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Carmine Vani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Grigore Rânceanu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filippo Di Cesare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 77 minutes, Gigel Boeru managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granicerul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Boeru was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grigore Rânceanu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when A.S. Udinese's Eraldo Motta shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Sydney Pombal hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Grigore Rânceanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carmine Vani went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. After 97 minutes, Iordache Ioneasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Granicerul and the A.S. Udinese players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Iordache Ioneasa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Granicerul's zone, Corrado Pietropaolo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Grigore Rânceanu came out of the goal and Corrado Pietropaolo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A.S. Udinese's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
