The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Tiniebra. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cascadia United's goalie and right to Hernan Ixidor. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cascadia United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Lisandro Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Shao Zhen Xiao in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cascadia United's Justino Sansone. 23 minutes into the game, Julien Corbeau threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cascadia United's Wang Di Yi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Ernie Siegel got a free kick in the 24th minute. Baltasar Piorno hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A hard shot 37 in the game by Lisandro Nuñez from a close distance when the talented Leonel Rocco managed to make a qualified save. Cascadia United's players were relieved. After 38 played minutes Cascadia United got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Piorno. SAN LORENZO FC's Dario Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Ángel Benito in the 41st minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Ángel Benito made a kick off. After a rather tough play, SAN LORENZO FC's Julien Corbeau got a free kick in the 59th minute. Shao Zhen Xiao charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shao Zhen Xiao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Shao Zhen Xiao hit a great ball. Miguel Ángel Benito received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dario Astigar came out and tried to block the shot, but Miguel Ángel Benito slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 67th minute. SAN LORENZO FC's Vinicio Firme was substituted for Hernan Ixidor. Lv Tian Yuan hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. SAN LORENZO FC's Dario Astigar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save SAN LORENZO FC from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the match, Miguel Ángel Benito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dario Astigar, 0-2. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Isaias Rosario replaced Ernie Siegel. 83 minutes into the game, SAN LORENZO FC's Isaias Rosario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonel Rocco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Leonel Rocco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Damario, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 87 minutes Cascadia United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edmondo Di Renzo who took care of the corner kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Ángel Benito got free with Dario Astigar in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd match minute, Cascadia United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tamás Lovas to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Marcelino Damario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonel Rocco. Cascadia United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelino Damario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
