Jannes Ruttens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedykt Pankiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedykt Pankiewicz scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jannes Ruttens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute Ricardinho de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Ruttens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicky Bryson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lei Feng Yan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedykt Pankiewicz in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jannes Ruttens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 15 played minutes S.E.R. Caxias do Sul got a freekick which was hit by Ricardinho de Senna. In the 18th minute, Pepe Rompel made a precise shot to the right of Esen Sanal. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedykt Pankiewicz in the 24th minute of play forced C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Figueroa came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedykt Pankiewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannes Ruttens having to interfere. Pipon Pipon's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Al Whatley in the 44th minute. A nice corner shot did that Al Whatley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Esen Sanal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mario Pochekanski was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind C. A. Pipon Pipon's goalkeeper Jannes Ruttens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Pochekanski got free with Jannes Ruttens in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, Mario Pochekanski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jannes Ruttens, 1-3. C. A. Pipon Pipon made a substitution. Malcolm McIntosh replaced Francesco Figueroa. Nicky Bryson's late challenge caught a S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicky Bryson helped the player get up and apologised. Pipon Pipon's protests and gave Al Whatley a yellow card for diving instead. Al Whatley hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul played a much better game than C. A. Pipon Pipon and deserved their victory. The C. A. Pipon Pipon players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
