Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emanuel Vigil took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Vigil to maneuver through the defense. After 5 played minutes ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ got a freekick which was hit by Pero Falla. Pero Falla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 16th minute, Pero Falla made a precise shot to the right of Barra Gol. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Fernandinho Galvão scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Pero Falla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Barra Gol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hori Guillemez in the 34th minute of play. Edwin van der Sar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 42nd play minutes Hori Guillemez shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Barra Gol and just under the crossbar into goal. 46 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Galvão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edwin van der Sar. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernandinho Galvão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Ulises Farias was substituted for Zacarias Zurbano. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ made a substitution. Noel Guerrero replaced Santos Sanz. The supporters of ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ booed when PEÇONHENTO FC MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelsinho Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Galvão in the 64th minute of play. PEÇONHENTO FC MG were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gabriel Delassus took the corner. Fernandinho Galvão was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Peter Paul Crouch replaced Emanuel Vigil. After a rather tough play, ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Gaspar Alborza got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 71st minute of the match, Nelsinho Faria got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edwin van der Sar was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. PEÇONHENTO FC MG:s Barra Gol showed great skill when he stopped Noel Guerrero:s penalty. After a defensive mix-up in ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s zone, Peter Paul Crouch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin van der Sar came out of the goal and Peter Paul Crouch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. PEÇONHENTO FC MG made a substitution. Fabiano Munhoz replaced Fernandinho Galvão. Edwin van der Sar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Paul Crouch in the 83rd minute of the match. Edwin van der Sar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Paul Crouch, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. PEÇONHENTO FC MG's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gabriel Delassus in the 88th minute. A nice corner shot did that Gabriel Delassus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edwin van der Sar quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 95th minute, PEÇONHENTO FC MG's Fabiano Munhoz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-3. ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦'s Edwin van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save ♠♥ Stardust Crusaders ♣♦ from getting a goal against them.
