Club El Progreso were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Mainumby's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adolfo Fidensio took the corner. 19 minutes into the game, Club El Progreso's Indiana Jones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guaberto Cucao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Washington Papa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club El Progreso's supporters rose to their feet, but Washington Papa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guaberto Cucao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Indiana Jones's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Cucao was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Benjamin Tino made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Nunez Gizon sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nunez Gizon got free with Benjamin Tino in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guaberto Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Cordaro in the 34th minute of the match. Guaberto Cucao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Indiana Jones's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Cleto Cordaro made a precise shot to the right of Guaberto Cucao. Mainumby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 43rd minute, Club El Progreso's Adolfo Fidensio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Adolfo Fidensio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Club El Progreso protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Adolfo Fidensio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Club El Progreso! Club El Progreso's Benjamin Tino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Club El Progreso from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Dante Sidro hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Mainumby's Guaberto Cucao got control of the ball when Indiana Jones tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matías Kranevitter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Cucao having to interfere. Guaberto Cucao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Indiana Jones in the 88th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Club El Progreso's Indiana Jones slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Guaberto Cucao. That made the score 0-4 after 91 minutes of play. Club El Progreso made a substitution. Enzo Bot replaced Indiana Jones. A collision led to Mainumby getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jonatan Heriberto hit a great ball.
