The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jarrod Leary made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 5th minute. The supporters of SC Braga booed when Racing Miami Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Hood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zigmantas Gimbutas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zigmantas Gimbutas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Jarrod Leary made a huge save. In the 24th match minute, Racing Miami Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nathanial Coppack to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Jarrod Leary managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jarrod Leary didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Nathanial Coppack hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Jarrod Leary played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Figari in the 35th minute of play. Jarrod Leary made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Zigmantas Gimbutas sent off a good shot on target. After 42 minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yan Zhan Cheng who took care of the corner kick. After 42 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Zigmantas Gimbutas. In the 46th minute of the match, Edgar Figari tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jarrod Leary saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 47th minute, Grant Grant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Larry Cermak replaced Xu Yuan Lin. After 49 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Grant Grant. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Nathanial Coppack got a free kick in the 60th minute. Jarrod Leary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 61st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson got free with Antonio Adán in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Chance Adams replaced Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson. Alberto Malheiro got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Edgar Figari. Jarrod Leary made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Figari in the 68th minute of play. Jarrod Leary showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zigmantas Gimbutas in the 69th minute of the match. Nathanial Coppack hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. SC Braga made a substitution. Donato Sampaio replaced Edgar Figari. 76 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Chance Adams sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonio Adán narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute Racing Miami Futbol Club were awarded a corner. Peter Hood went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SC Braga's goalie and right to Anton Swanson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SC Braga's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 83rd minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrod Leary saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarrod Leary was left in no man's land by his defense there! Antonio Adán made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chance Adams in the 87th minute. Racing Miami Futbol Club were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after SC Braga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Peter Hood took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Grant Grant heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Jarrod Leary came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Braga's Zigmantas Gimbutas. But to his dismay, Zigmantas Gimbutas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Braga had won after a very even match.
