But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Necula couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in A.D. Alcorcón's zone, Răzvan Necula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurino Serena came out of the goal and Răzvan Necula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erlantz Bermejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belo Alvarez to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, one of A.D. Alcorcón:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for A.D. Alcorcón. A collision led to A.D.
