Garci Vaz hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Merida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Giro Valdespino came free, but Wuilker Fariñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orland Uceda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wuilker Fariñez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Deportivo Ortegano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aron Bergqvist in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Mannara in the 20th minute of play forced Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalkeeper Wuilker Fariñez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wuilker Fariñez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orland Uceda in the 22nd minute of the match. Bladimir Morales took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Bladimir Morales got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bahiano Caballeria quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 31st minute Orland Uceda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wuilker Fariñez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Merida FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Makarewicz came free, but Wuilker Fariñez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Koller replaced Rodrigo Mannara. René Descartes kicked well hit freekick during the 49th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bahiano Caballeria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Lesardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 played minutes Deportivo Ortegano got a freekick which was hit by Silviano Leguade. Bahiano Caballeria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bladimir Morales in the 56th minute of play. Estudiantes de Merida FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Jan Koller 63 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. Deportivo Ortegano's Bahiano Caballeria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Lesardo in the 69th minute of play. In the 76th minute Marcelino Quinten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahiano Caballeria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estudiantes de Merida FC made a substitution. Claudinei Canido replaced Emiliano Lesardo. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Deportivo Ortegano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bladimir Morales was slow to take the kick. During this time Estudiantes de Merida FC's players had a chance to rest. Bladimir Morales made a great header on Estudiantes de Merida FC's corner, it was just that Deportivo Ortegano's Bahiano Caballeria managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudinei Canido in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bahiano Caballeria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Orlandus Torrascasana's late challenge caught a Estudiantes de Merida FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orlandus Torrascasana helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Ortegano's Orlandus Torrascasana got a free kick in the 91st minute. Estudiantes de Merida FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Deportivo Ortegano for a fine match.
