The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Janne Katt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Milan Pavlovský's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Milan Pavlovský in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Janne Katt saved Sonstorps Fotboll from getting behind. Stockholm Generals's Ivar Unesson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Stockholm Generals from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Törnblom dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivar Unesson, 1-0. Daniel Törnblom in the 22ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivar Unesson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Stockholm Generals's Ivar Unesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Helberg in the 23rd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Daniel Törnblom notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Stockholm Generals's Ivar Unesson. Ivar Unesson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 31 minutes into the match, Sonstorps Fotboll's goal looked a bit too open when Milan Pavlovský came free, but Janne Katt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janne Katt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Milan Pavlovský in the 36th minute of the match. Janne Katt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milan Pavlovský, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Jonas Rosendahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Allan Helberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sonstorps Fotboll's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stockholm Generals the free kick. In the 47th minute, Allan Helberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bo-Erik Skytt made a kick off. After 51 minutes, Osvald Lennartsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sonstorps Fotboll and the Stockholm Generals players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Osvald Lennartsson. Janne Katt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Ariwibowo in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Stockholm Generals's Milan Pavlovský sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Janne Katt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Rosendahl during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute Sonstorps Fotboll were awarded a corner. Daniel Törnblom went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Sonstorps Fotboll's corner Daniel Törnblom fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ivar Unesson quite easily take care of the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Sonstorps Fotboll got a corner. Stockholm Generals's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Törnblom ran over to the corner to take the kick. Helge Åström made a great header on Sonstorps Fotboll's corner, it was just that Stockholm Generals's Ivar Unesson managed to reach the ball for a save. Janne Katt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Milan Pavlovský's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Leo Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osvald Lennartsson got a throw-in 72 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gavino Semeno. After 75 played minutes Sonstorps Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Osvald Lennartsson. After a rather tough play, Stockholm Generals's Leo Göransson got a free kick in the 76th minute. Milan Pavlovský blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Janne Katt having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bo-Erik Skytt in the 86th minute of play forced Stockholm Generals's goalkeeper Ivar Unesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leo Göransson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Milan Pavlovský reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Janne Katt. The goal made the score 2-1. Many of Stockholm Generals's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Stockholm Generals may have spent more time on the ball, but Sonstorps Fotboll were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
