If Conrado Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Téo Savion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Esra Breidert made a huge save. Matt Metzger charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matt Metzger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Olympique Fribourg got a freekick which was hit by Matt Metzger. Patrick Knechtli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fryderyk Dziewulski, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Olympique Fribourg's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Romero came free, but Patrick Knechtli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Fryderyk Dziewulski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Knechtli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match, Raik Topuz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Esra Breidert saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Esra Breidert made an important save on a dangerous shot by Téo Savion in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Medero Gadea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esra Breidert. FC Traktor Götz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Medero Gadea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Dany Wiesenberg kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Conrado Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Olympique Fribourg's Fred Stutz got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conrado Romero in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrick Knechtli saved Olympique Fribourg from getting behind. Patrick Knechtli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niko Wohlert in the 35th minute of the match. Niko Wohlert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Knechtli having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympique Fribourg's goalkeeper Patrick Knechtli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Traktor Götz's Wim Majewski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fred Stutz in the 44 minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

FC Traktor Götz made a substitution. Giacomo Grau replaced Arne Prestin. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrado Romero made a kick off. When Conrado Romero came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the FC Traktor Götz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado Romero couldn't finish the play. In the 59th match minute, FC Traktor Götz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Listl to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Schroeder took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Esra Breidert. FC Traktor Götz's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. FC Traktor Götz's Esra Breidert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Savion in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to FC Traktor Götz getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ralf Große Verspohl hit a great ball. Olympique Fribourg made a substitution. Salomo Montandon replaced Dany Wiesenberg. In the 68th minute, Ralf Große Verspohl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ralf Große Verspohl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gene Emmenegger's late challenge caught a FC Traktor Götz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gene Emmenegger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Olympique Fribourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gene Emmenegger to maneuver through the defense. FC Traktor Götz made a substitution. Maximilian Obst replaced Fryderyk Dziewulski. After a rather tough play, Olympique Fribourg's Gene Emmenegger got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Niko Wohlert got free in front of the goal in the 81st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Patrick Knechtli was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Patrick Knechtli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niko Wohlert in the 88th minute of play.
