The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sten Melberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anders Lundqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sten Melberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Markus Svensson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Kristiansson having to make a save. George Kristiansson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Markus Svensson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. Golden Lions FC's attentive Sigvard Dahlkvist managed to snatch the ball when Sixten Hedbom made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. If Markus Svensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Markus Svensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but George Kristiansson made a huge save. George Kristiansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Svensson in the 31st minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Di Röe's Sten Melberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anders Lundqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelo Steven in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Kristiansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute Sten Melberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leo Strömbom. 47 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Melberg came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Markus Svensson took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Kristiansson. George Kristiansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Golden Lions FC's Markus Svensson in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Markus Svensson in the 66th minute of play forced Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Arne Olsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan was substituted for Markus Svensson. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. Cosme Larpe replaced Leo Strömbom. When Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Di Röe's goalie prevented a goal. After 81 minutes of play, Golden Lions FC's Burç Tokhan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Kristiansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burç Tokhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Burç Tokhan took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Kristiansson. George Kristiansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. In the 88th match minute, Golden Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burç Tokhan to maneuver through the defense. George Kristiansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Larpe, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 92 minutes into the match, İbrahim Efe Topdemir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Kristiansson. Di Röe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that İbrahim Efe Topdemir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Di Röe players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Golden Lions FC.
