The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sten Melberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pål Sefastsson having to make a save. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Melberg in the 4th minute of play. Sven-Arne Olsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Di Röe's attentive Sixten Hedbom managed to snatch the ball when Johannes Stenqvist made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. Zair Hasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 13th minute Zair Hasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Kristiansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Di Röe's goalkeeper George Kristiansson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. George Kristiansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zair Hasa went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Zair Hasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sixten Hedbom made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by National Team Cape-Verde's Johannes Stenqvist. George Kristiansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zair Hasa in the 28th minute of play. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Melander in the 30th minute of play. National Team Cape-Verde were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Di Röe's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fredric Melander took the corner. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Zair Hasa put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of George Kristiansson. George Kristiansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zair Hasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredric Melander took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Kristiansson. George Kristiansson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half National Team Cape-Verde were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sten Melberg to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Di Röe's Sixten Hedbom got a free kick in the 55th minute. 58 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Arne Olsson came free, but Pål Sefastsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sixten Hedbom made in the 72nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by National Team Cape-Verde's Narciso Labarra. Di Röe's George Kristiansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Broberg in the 76th minute of play. In the 81st minute of the match, Alex Broberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but George Kristiansson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. National Team Cape-Verde's Pål Sefastsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Melberg in the 91st minute of play. When the final whistle sounded National Team Cape-Verde left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Di Röe.
