Ken Golang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pål Sefastsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Hampus Vall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zair Hasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Pål Sefastsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Golang in the 24th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, National Team Cape-Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Ken Golang came free, but Pål Sefastsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Golang in the 27th minute of play forced National Team Cape-Verde's goalkeeper Pål Sefastsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hampus Vall made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zair Hasa in the 28th minute. With a little luck, BK Tåfjutt's Hampus Vall got control of the ball when Zair Hasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in National Team Cape-Verde's zone, Ken Golang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pål Sefastsson came out of the goal and Ken Golang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pål Sefastsson came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by BK Tåfjutt's Ken Golang. But to his dismay, Ken Golang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 40th minute of the match BK Tåfjutt got a corner. National Team Cape-Verde's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kosmas Charalambakis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karol Magdziarz to make the kick off. National Team Cape-Verde's Zachary Pliszka was substituted for Zair Hasa. National Team Cape-Verde's Narciso Labarra quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Camilo Jerano, made in the 64th minute of the game. Uriel Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hampus Vall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zachary Pliszka in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Karol Magdziarz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pål Sefastsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Magdziarz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, BK Tåfjutt's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Labarra came free, but Hampus Vall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
