Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faas Wilkes in the 10th minute of play. Ingemar Åberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernan Berart in the 12th minute of play. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 13th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match, Petter Skarkman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcus Ekrot saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Fernan Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingemar Åberg having to interfere. Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcus Ekrot made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Guido Python sent off a good shot on target. If Alessandro Micucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Protegéerna's attentive Ossi Eloranta managed to snatch the ball when Jose Indalecio made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. After 46 minutes of play, Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcus Ekrot was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessandro Micucci to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Alessandro Micucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Åberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute Guido Python shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Protegéerna's attentive Ossi Eloranta managed to snatch the ball when Eric Van Lint made a throw-in in the 58th minute of the game. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petter Skarkman struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Marcus Ekrot didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Protegéerna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petter Skarkman in the 69th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Persson in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Persson in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Ekrot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 76 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goal looked a bit too open when Petter Skarkman came free, but Marcus Ekrot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genaro Remicio replaced Faas Wilkes. In the 81st match minute, Vykans Vikingar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Micucci to maneuver through the defense. Petter Skarkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Ekrot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Genaro Remicio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ingemar Åberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Ekrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petter Skarkman's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Jan Persson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Protegéerna fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vykans Vikingar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
