Per Tunström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Blom having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Knut Igelström. Rolf Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Fagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rolf Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Fagerberg in the 8th minute of the match. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when Rönnöfors FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per Tunström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Per Tunström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolf Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolf Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Tunström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Magne Gunnarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Bambas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th match minute, Rönnöfors FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stelian Volosin to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Henning Stigsson got a free kick in the 30th minute. Strömsbro IF's Rolf Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Tunström in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Bambas. In the last second Magne Gunnarsson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Wasyl Zworski in the 36thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Tunström in the 37th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Rolf Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Nyqvist. Rolf Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Tunström in the 42nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wasyl Zworski in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Magne Gunnarsson saved Rönnöfors FF from getting behind.

Rönnöfors FF made a substitution. Torsten Åman replaced Olimpiu Mirciulescu. Rönnöfors FF's Sigvard Biörnberg was substituted for Pieter Koole. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henry Fagerberg to make the kick off. Igor Bambas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Bambas in the 68th minute of play forced Rönnöfors FF's goalkeeper Magne Gunnarsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rönnöfors FF's Bertil Hellgren was substituted for Ulrik Sandwall. Strömsbro IF made a substitution. Stig-Arne Bollström replaced Wasyl Zworski. With a little luck, Strömsbro IF's Rolf Blom got control of the ball when Henry Fagerberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 96 played minutes Strömsbro IF got a freekick which was hit by Klas Harlén. Henry Fagerberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolf Blom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. Rönnöfors FF played a much better game than Strömsbro IF and deserved their victory. The Strömsbro IF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
