If Zenon Adamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Zenon Adamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchazadec Terron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fala Szczecin's Roman Dziedelonis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Popovici in the 18th minute of play. FC Internazionale's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Slawomir Hatman in the 20th minute. A collision led to FC Internazionale getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bülent Erduran hit a great ball. Matei Călin took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Dziedelonis. Roman Dziedelonis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornel Popovici in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Dziedelonis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastian Wnukowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchazadec Terron having to interfere. Ion Romoşan kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. When Marcin Marcinko came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Fala Szczecin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcin Marcinko couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Melchazadec Terron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Wnukowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Fala Szczecin booed when FC Internazionale was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Finsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Fala Szczecin's goalkeeper Roman Dziedelonis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matei Călin. Melchazadec Terron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
