The audience was convinced that Henry Fagerberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Méret was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Rönnöfors FF's Magne Gunnarsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Kracht in the 20th minute of play. In the 33rd minute Rönnöfors FF were awarded a corner. Per Stenberg went to the cornerflag to take it. Per Tunström made a great header on Rönnöfors FF's corner, it was just that Chancy Olympique's Alex Méret managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 33 minutes, Henry Fagerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rönnöfors FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henry Fagerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Magne Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pawel Fleischer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Rönnöfors FF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Chancy Olympique's Baldemar Prats was substituted for Lazlo Lauzier. The wind increased when Fabián Ruiz made the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Rönnöfors FF's Henry Fagerberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alex Méret. The Chancy Olympique fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rönnöfors FF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
