The audience thought a goal was coming when Aurelian Acalinei got free with Mihnea Vizitiu in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th match minute, -BZF- Petrolul Berca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandru Aanicăi to maneuver through the defense. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Corneliu Sântimbrean scored to the left of an out of position Mihnea Vizitiu, making the score, 1-1. Irinel Dobrițoiu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Octav Hortopan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liviu Hurmuz in the 22nd minute of play. Alexandru Aanicăi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Gelu Bădoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octav Hortopan having to interfere. Eugen Perișoară's late challenge caught a -BZF- Petrolul Berca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eugen Perișoară helped the player get up and apologised. In the 33rd minute, Eugen Perișoară hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Bădoi in the 47th minute of play forced -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's goalkeeper Octav Hortopan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Corneliu Sântimbrean was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Irinel Dobrițoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gelu Bădoi took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octav Hortopan. Octav Hortopan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Octav Hortopan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remus Jula in the 59th minute of the match. The supporters of -BZF- Petrolul Berca booed when -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avram Moise didn't get a good kick on the ball. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Marioara Olaru shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 71st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Octav Hortopan but with some difficulty. The supporters of -BZF- Petrolul Berca booed when -BZF- Fc Gheraseni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Levițchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. -BZF- Petrolul Berca were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marioara Olaru took the corner. In the 86th match minute, -BZF- Petrolul Berca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remus Jula to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes, -BZF- Fc Gheraseni's Eugen Perișoară shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mihnea Vizitiu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in -BZF- Fc Gheraseni reached it. Corneliu Sântimbrean got in the 89th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Mihnea Vizitiu handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Sântimbrean came free, but Mihnea Vizitiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valeriu Iuonaș kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Eusebiu Levițchi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mihnea Vizitiu skillfully saved the ball. Iordache Nica hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the game, Liviu Hurmuz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -BZF- Petrolul Berca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave -BZF- Fc Gheraseni the free kick. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Liviu Hurmuz got a free kick in the 97th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched -BZF- Petrolul Berca eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
