Without hesitation aimed to the right of 杨斌常, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Falso Valencia CF's Bayan Bongo got a free kick in the 10th minute. The supporters of Malta booed when Falso Valencia CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bayan Bongo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Falso Valencia CF's 顾珂默 made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Paul Mercieca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yadi Sutowo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Samuel Griffin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Yadi Sutowo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Peter Paul Mercieca was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Peter Paul Mercieca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yadi Sutowo in the 35th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Malta's Owen Grech Cumbo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 杨斌常. That made the score 2-3 after 41 minutes of play. Owen Grech Cumbo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but 杨斌常 made a huge save. After the first half Falso Valencia CF were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Owen Grech Cumbo to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Falso Valencia CF's Marin Calciu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Peter Paul Mercieca. That made the score 2-4 after 50 minutes of play. Owen Grech Cumbo kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Malta were furious when Jean Carl Cassar Torreggiani was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Malta:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Falso Valencia CF:s goal. When Falso Valencia CF's 柯思德 in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Malta's goalie prevented a goal. Owen Grech Cumbo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-6 when 柯思德 sped through Malta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Peter Paul Mercieca. 75 minutes into the match, Falso Valencia CF's Marin Calciu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Paul Mercieca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peter Paul Mercieca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 顾珂默 went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. Peter Paul Mercieca made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when 顾珂默 sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Griffin in the 88th minute of play forced Falso Valencia CF's goalkeeper 杨斌常 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Paul Mercieca came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Falso Valencia CF's 柯思德. But to his dismay, 柯思德 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-8. The supporters of Falso Valencia CF booed when Malta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Owen Grech Cumbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Although Malta had been in control for most of the match, Falso Valencia CF still came away with the win.
