The corner led Mosqueteros's Tibalt Amirola to fire away a dangerous shot which Harry Mik despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Reinaldo Vuelva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus van Dongen in the 44th minute of play. Reinaldo Vuelva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joost de Zaaijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delmiro Pedroso was the one to do the kick off. Harry Mik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Osvaldinho Netto scored 2-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reinaldo Vuelva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With an all-out effort, Leiden Spor Kulubu's Reinaldo Vuelva threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Folkert Engelaar, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Justo Docanado came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Mosqueteros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justo Docanado couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Marcus van Dongen took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Reinaldo Vuelva to make any attempt to save it. After 92 played minutes Leiden Spor Kulubu got a freekick which was hit by Timo Staarman. A collision led to Leiden Spor Kulubu getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Edward Zuidema hit a great ball. The Leiden Spor Kulubu players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mosqueteros from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
