Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jonas Hautot started the match with the kick off. Arne Grabner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Endrik Fuchs in the 3rd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Kim-André van der Schans successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 5th minute Austria were awarded a corner. Ovidiu Adrian went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 7th minute Gutierre Lauri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Grabner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ovidiu Adrian hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Switzerland from getting a goal against them. The Arne Grabner was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Switzerland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ovidiu Adrian was slow to take the kick. During this time Austria's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Austria's Michael-Jan Schönberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 68th minute Endrik Fuchs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Grabner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the game, Jonas Hautot cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. The referee ignored Austria's protests and gave Torben Krabber a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes Austria got a freekick which was hit by Torben Krabber. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gutierre Lauri in the 96th minute of play forced Austria's goalkeeper Arne Grabner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
