Barrie Emberson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 12 minutes Valiant F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ferdinand Mendy who took care of the corner kick. Ludwig Hanstein might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barrie Emberson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ludwig Hanstein ran back to his position shaking his head. Barrie Emberson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emanuel Ogășanu went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goalkeeper Barrie Emberson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ludwig Hanstein. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Ogășanu got free with Barrie Emberson in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Cebi in the 30th minute of play forced Valiant F.C's goalkeeper Barrie Emberson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Richardson in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steve Whalley came free, but Sebastian Titz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebastian Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marty Richardson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Emanuel Ogășanu made a precise shot to the right of Barrie Emberson. Valiant F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Barrie Emberson made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Ludwig Hanstein sent off a good shot on target. Sydney FC's Önder Cebi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Emanuel Ogășanu took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Barrie Emberson. Barrie Emberson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Sydney FC's Per Stiig Beisel was substituted for Bjarne Nievelstein. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steve Whalley was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Ogășanu in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Barrie Emberson saved Valiant F.C from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Önder Cebi came free, but Barrie Emberson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Marty Richardson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Titz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Valiant F.C defense, Allan Björk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barrie Emberson. The Valiant F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barrie Emberson should have stopped the shot. The Sydney FC fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Barrie Emberson came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Sydney FC's Önder Cebi. But to his dismay, Önder Cebi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 73rd minute, Önder Cebi made a precise shot to the right of Barrie Emberson. Valiant F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Önder Cebi in the 77th minute of play forced Valiant F.C's goalkeeper Barrie Emberson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrie Emberson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Önder Cebi went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. After 82 minutes of play, Sydney FC's Önder Cebi made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barrie Emberson was left in no man's land by his defense there! 85 minutes into the game, Sydney FC's Önder Cebi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barrie Emberson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. 88 minutes into the match, Per Stiig Beisel notched a goal, 13-0, to the right of Valiant F.C's Barrie Emberson. Barrie Emberson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Sydney FC's Emanuel Ogășanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barrie Emberson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 14-0. In the 95th minute, Allan Björk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sydney FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 15-0. In the 99th minute Sydney FC were awarded a corner. Ferdinand Mendy went to the cornerflag to take it. Sydney FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
