Dimitar Mutashki's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frédson Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Evstati Ruskov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frédson Freire. Xiboquinha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evstati Ruskov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Radostin Selanovski's late challenge caught a Xiboquinha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radostin Selanovski helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC White Wolves getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Radostin Selanovski hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

After a rather tough play, FC White Wolves's Dimitar Mutashki got a free kick in the 55th minute. Xiboquinha FC's Betão Vinhas managed to work through FC White Wolves's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. FC White Wolves's supporters rose to their feet, but Dimitar Mutashki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frédson Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
