In the 25thth minute of the game Jacobo Pirro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mercedes's Justo Ixona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacobo Pirro in the 36th minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Justo Ixona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee ignored Mercedes's protests and gave Rigoberto Canor a yellow card for diving instead. Rigoberto Canor hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Roberto Abreu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pendex fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacobo Pirro to make the kick off. The supporters of Mercedes booed when Pendex was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Elija didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pendex's Guaberto Orlandus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niceto Javiar in the 74th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Pendex's Marcelino Ermengol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. In the 86th minute Marcelino Ermengol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Ixona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pendex's Albano Barto got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Albano Barto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Justo Ixona. Albano Barto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7.
