In the 35th minute of the match Düsseldorf FC got a corner. Crosmayo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The crowd rose to their feet as Düsseldorf FC's Qiu Lin Yi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alonzo Cordarin. That made the score 1-0 after 41 minutes of play. Teofil Gierlach hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Alonzo Cordarin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teofilo Salomon in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
