Celso Trevisan made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Dale Dolar sent off a good shot on target. Barcellos Mineiro FC's attentive Clóvis Vieira managed to snatch the ball when Basilio Bilbo made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. Corneliu Dridu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vânderson Saa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Dale Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Trevisan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Trevisan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dale Dolar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vânderson Saa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Vânderson Saa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 39th minute of the match. Vânderson Saa came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu. But to his dismay, Corneliu Dridu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Barcellos Mineiro FC's Dale Dolar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Celso Trevisan. That made the score 1-1 after 44 minutes of play. Barcellos Mineiro FC made a substitution. Eliézer de Carvalho replaced Arí Paraibano. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Eliézer de Carvalho lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of Barcellos Mineiro FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dr Lecter SC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 56 minutes, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vânderson Saa. Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Dolar in the 58th minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Barcellos Mineiro FC's goalkeeper Vânderson Saa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corneliu Dridu. 65 minutes into the game, Corneliu Dridu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vânderson Saa. Corneliu Dridu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dale Dolar in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Trevisan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 85th minute, Omid Kaulbach ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vânderson Saa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Mauro Romero hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Dr Lecter SC's Mauro Romero got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Barcellos Mineiro FC's Vânderson Saa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Barcellos Mineiro FC from getting a goal against them. Vânderson Saa made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Fedele Di Fabrizio sent off a good shot on target. Dr Lecter SC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Barcellos Mineiro FC's much stronger midfield.
