An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Kiewit in the 16th minute of play forced AD Pontassolense's goalkeeper Gentil Macieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save AD Pontassolense from getting a goal against them. Vanadio F.C.'s Paulin Sequeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Madruga in the 31st minute of play. Johan Kiewit came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gentil Macieira could save by the left post. With a little luck, AD Pontassolense's Gentil Macieira got control of the ball when Johan Kiewit tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute Nuno Madruga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulin Sequeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Vanadio F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Bekir Çağan hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Johan Kiewit to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Johan Kiewit's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gentil Macieira was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. In the 54th minute of the match, Giuseppe Catarinense tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulin Sequeiros saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gentil Macieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gordon Suarez went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Gentil Macieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Suarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Paulin Sequeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Maxin Oces got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gentil Macieira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 76th minute Johan Kiewit shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gentil Macieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, AD Pontassolense's Paulin Sequeiros threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giuseppe Catarinense, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Giuseppe Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot. AD Pontassolense's supporters rose to their feet, but Giuseppe Catarinense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulin Sequeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gentil Macieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gordon Suarez in the 87th minute of play. Vanadio F.C.'s Paulin Sequeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Catarinense in the 89th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vanadio F.C. had won after a very even match.
