Dumitru Purcărete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jörg Hannemann during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 11 played minutes Hertha 1969 got a freekick which was hit by Jörg Hannemann. A4p FC Gad's Marcin Pachucki shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rune Jarstein but with some difficulty. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Batistuta in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rune Jarstein prevented the ball from getting in the gole. James Batistuta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rune Jarstein came out and tried to block the shot, but James Batistuta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Rune Jarstein made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Daniel Löfgren sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to A4p FC Gad getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gez Mason hit a great ball. Zé Paulo da Silva, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Glenn Fyfe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute of the match Hertha 1969 got a corner. A4p FC Gad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zé Paulo da Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Hertha 1969's corner Zé Paulo da Silva fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Glenn Fyfe quite easily take care of the ball. Rune Jarstein came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p FC Gad's James Batistuta. But to his dismay, James Batistuta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A hard shot 43 in the game by Daniel Löfgren from a close distance when the talented Rune Jarstein managed to make a qualified save. Hertha 1969's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, A4p FC Gad's Olle Olsson got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 47th minute of play forced A4p FC Gad's goalkeeper Glenn Fyfe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilhelm Nienhaus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Löfgren in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rune Jarstein saved Hertha 1969 from getting behind. In the 55th minute, King Scorpio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A4p FC Gad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 60 minutes A4p FC Gad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zé Paulo da Silva who took care of the corner kick. A4p FC Gad's Flavius Cândroveanu was substituted for Daniel Löfgren. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Erasmo Damião replaced Amador Martxel. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Glenn Fyfe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Glenn Fyfe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilhelm Nienhaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A4p FC Gad's Glenn Fyfe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save A4p FC Gad from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute King Scorpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. King Scorpio took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rune Jarstein. Rune Jarstein dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Hertha 1969 made a substitution. Rupert Heidingsfelder replaced Wilhelm Nienhaus. Rune Jarstein came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by A4p FC Gad's Gică Busuioc. But to his dismay, Gică Busuioc quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Rupert Heidingsfelder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Glenn Fyfe made a huge save. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by A4p FC Gad's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Paulo da Silva was slow to take the kick. During this time Hertha 1969's players had a chance to rest. 94 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when King Scorpio came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. A4p FC Gad fully deserved thier win.
