In the 28th minute Dalmacio Tebaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton de Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 31 in the game by Peter Dewulf from a close distance when the talented Hamílton de Lara managed to make a qualified save. Sao Paulo Leste FC's players were relieved. Sao Paulo Leste FC's Hamílton de Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Sao Paulo Leste FC from getting a goal against them. Peter Dewulf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tommy Jadis fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sao Paulo Leste FC's protests and gave Tommy Jadis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Tommy Jadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 36 minutes into the match, Sao Paulo Leste FC's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Artaldo came free, but Hamílton de Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamílton de Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmacio Tebaldo in the 37th minute of play. Gernando Netto's late challenge caught a Países Bajos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gernando Netto helped the player get up and apologised. Gernando Netto hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Camilo Artaldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Hamílton de Lara made a huge save. A collision led to Sao Paulo Leste FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Tommy Jadis hit a great ball. Sao Paulo Leste FC's Hamílton de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Dewulf in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Artaldo made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Países Bajos's Orlando Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hamílton de Lara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Hamílton de Lara came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Países Bajos's Camilo Artaldo. But to his dismay, Camilo Artaldo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. A collision led to Sao Paulo Leste FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Celsinho Cerezo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Camilo Artaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hamílton de Lara was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celsinho Cerezo got free with Angelo Ugutz in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 62 minutes into the match, Dalmacio Tebaldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hamílton de Lara. Sao Paulo Leste FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dalmacio Tebaldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Celsinho Cerezo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Angelo Ugutz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Camilo Artaldo put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hamílton de Lara. 6-0 became the score in the 73rd minute when Peter Dewulf elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Países Bajos's Gaston Bilbo was substituted for Peter Dewulf. The supporters of Países Bajos booed when Sao Paulo Leste FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Camilo Artaldo put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hamílton de Lara. Países Bajos's Angelo Ugutz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Países Bajos from getting a goal against them. In the 83rdth minute of the game Camilo Artaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sao Paulo Leste FC's Hamílton de Lara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Camilo Artaldo notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Sao Paulo Leste FC's Hamílton de Lara. Hamílton de Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gaston Bilbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Hamílton de Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Sao Paulo Leste FC defense, Camilo Artaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamílton de Lara. The Sao Paulo Leste FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamílton de Lara should have stopped the shot.
