The audience thought a goal was coming when Erruki Velarroa got free with Anton Björnberg in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 92nd match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cris Ronaldo to maneuver through the defense. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Popolizio FBC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
