Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu Teixeira in the 43rd minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Eliseu Teixeira made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Wolf defense, Tomás Angel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmundo Catarinense. The Wolf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmundo Catarinense should have stopped the shot. If Valentin Gomez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmundo Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Angel, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Conjunto Paisa booed when Wolf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball.
