Stepan Firago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Bruno Capello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stepan Firago was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Capello in the 28th minute of play forced Belarus's goalkeeper Stepan Firago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Pilip Mikhailov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Belarus's Stepan Firago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Capello in the 35th minute of play. Edelmiro Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Stepan Firago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Belarus defense, Bruno Capello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stepan Firago. The Belarus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stepan Firago should have stopped the shot. The Belarus players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Trip were winning 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Capello to strike the kick off in the second half. Stepan Firago stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruno Capello's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 58 minutes Belarus's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teodoro Munhoz who took care of the corner kick. Bruno Capello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stepan Firago came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruno Capello slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 62nd minute. When Bruno Capello came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Los Trip fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Capello couldn't finish the play. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svetaslav Yanchyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 74th minute Svetaslav Yanchyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agustín Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 minutes Belarus's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teodoro Munhoz who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stepan Firago quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 84thth minute of the game Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belarus's Stepan Firago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fausto Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes Belarus got a freekick which was hit by Patap Rebryn. The Los Trip players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
