Leonardo Mineiro kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Villaverde Celeste Clube got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Correia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Recife in the 10th minute of play forced Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Augusto Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11thth minute of the game Mané Garrincha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Osmar Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 13 played minutes Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Schmidt. With a little luck, Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Osmar Castro got control of the ball when Edson-Arantes Pelé tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Botelho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Osmar Castro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Amílton Antunes scored to the left of an out of position Osmar Castro, making the score, 1-0. Osmar Castro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edson-Arantes Pelé went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 24th minute, Miguel Botelho made a precise shot to the right of Osmar Castro. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Amílton Antunes scored to the left of an out of position Osmar Castro, making the score, 4-0. 31 minutes into the match, Miguel Botelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osmar Castro. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Botelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. With an all-out effort, Villaverde Celeste Clube's Osmar Castro threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Amílton Antunes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Miguel Botelho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 6-0 in the 35th playminute. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Miguel Botelho scored to the left of an out of position Osmar Castro, making the score, 7-0. Osmar Castro came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Edson-Arantes Pelé. But to his dismay, Edson-Arantes Pelé quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Osmar Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílton Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amílton Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

If Miguel Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osmar Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaltino Arce in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osmar Castro saved Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ from getting behind. Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's Osmar Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílton Antunes in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Botelho in the 79th minute of play forced Los Colonos F.C - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Osmar Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osmar Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Castro having to interfere.
