Darío Friederichs came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Benedykt Pankiewicz. But to his dismay, Benedykt Pankiewicz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Darío Friederichs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lei Feng Yan, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Esteban Salomon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th match minute, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lei Feng Yan to maneuver through the defense. Darío Friederichs stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benedykt Pankiewicz's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. The supporters of Nibiru X booed when S.E.R. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

S.E.R. Caxias do Sul made a substitution. Mario Pochekanski replaced Benedykt Pankiewicz. 55 minutes into the match, Nibiru X's goalkeeper Darío Friederichs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Pochekanski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Antonio Bertrand in the 59th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Juan Antonio Bertrand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Esen Sanal. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Antonio Bertrand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Juan Antonio Bertrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esen Sanal having to interfere. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S.E.R. Caxias do Sul! S.E.R. Caxias do Sul:s Esen Sanal showed great skill when he stopped Xalvador Bahamondes:s penalty. In the 91st minute Nibiru X were awarded a corner. Renato Kilpatrick went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Nibiru X's Renato Kilpatrick to fire away a dangerous shot which Esen Sanal despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Tarcisio Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Renato Kilpatrick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nibiru X's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Kilpatrick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esen Sanal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Tobías Aliaga came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Nibiru X fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobías Aliaga couldn't finish the play. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salomón Avendaño in the 98th minute of play. Nibiru X's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
