Phil Porter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Mendez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Goo Goo Dolls getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Brian Hughes hit a great ball. Feliberto Cordairo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Indios Latinos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Patricio Segio in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Feliberto Cordairo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phil Porter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Indios Latinos's Feliberto Cordairo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phil Porter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Brian Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Phil Porter came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Indios Latinos's Feliberto Cordairo. But to his dismay, Feliberto Cordairo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Tomas Santikurtz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olimpiu Dragnea, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 29 minutes, Olimpiu Dragnea made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Indios Latinos's Tomas Santikurtz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Goo Goo Dolls's Phil Porter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Mino in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Indios Latinos's goal looked a bit too open when Olimpiu Dragnea came free, but Tomas Santikurtz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Feliberto Cordairo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phil Porter. Goo Goo Dolls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Feliberto Cordairo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 42nd minute, Hernan Mendez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Tomas Santikurtz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After the first half Indios Latinos were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernan Mendez to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Claudio Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Indios Latinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Mino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Gianluca Infante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 64 minutes, Olimpiu Dragnea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goo Goo Dolls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olimpiu Dragnea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Goo Goo Dolls's Gianluca Infante got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 87 played minutes Goo Goo Dolls got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Anson. Phil Porter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Mendez in the 89th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Goo Goo Dolls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gianluca Infante to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Goo Goo Dolls getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Teddy Ball hit a great ball. When the match was over Indios Latinos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Goo Goo Dolls throughout the match.
