Tage Pålsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s goalkeeper Jânio de Barros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Květoslav Zukal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Martinez in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Patov's goalkeeper Tage Pålsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Teixeira notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of FC Patov's Tage Pålsson. When the match was over Ballybunion Celtic F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Patov throughout the match.
