Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tigran Kirakosyan, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Marquis Kenny's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremy Nicholas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Khachatryan's Jermaine Richmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glen Conklin in the 40th minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sung McKinley, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After the first half New England Minas were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The Khachatryan supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching New England Minas's performance. The match ended with a win for New England Minas.
